Skin Care…For MEN.

Yooo…if you saw my previous post about my skin care woes part 1,don’t worry, I’ll get back to that story. For the mean time I decided to share a little suttem’suttem on men skin care and the different routines that can be used for that fresh face feeling. So I have a trusted volunteer for the next 2 weeks approximately, trying out two different ways to shaving, and the routine care after that, plus the up keep through the week. Then we’re going to switch it up and try a different routine, with a different shaving application and see which one our volunteer likes the most and I’ll post it on here.

Let me mention this, everyone’s skin is very different. I believe skin in itself no matter who the individual is, is sensitive, it’s an organ that breathes and can die at the same time. The Epidermis is made up of about 5 layers, your skin is your personal coat and almost like a body armour to protecting you away from germs, water and obviously keeping your organs…inside your body….yah…plus, you have a lot of nerves in your skin for you to feel touches as well.

Sooooo….beginnings, beginnings. As you can see my volunteer has a small beard, the stress beard, he’d rather it be clean. The first little tester for the week is a hair removal cream that you can find in your beauty supply shops like Superdrug, Boots, and possibly your local Chemists, pricing around 5-8 pounds depending on the product . Hair removal cream is a lot less painful (if done correctly) than some other options. If you’ve never used hair removal creams before I’d suggest reading the instructions, it also says to try a small sample on an area I believe for the fraction of time and if you feel no burning or insensitivity then continue. If you do immediately wash it off.  You can get these hair removal creams for men as well, but there is no difference within the products.

First step, putting the cream on without your face being wet or damp.

My volunteer waited for 10 minutes.

Once 10 minutes were up, he put some luke warm water on his face, not to much to take the cream off completely and then use the spachelor (that should be provided in the pack). He removed the hair in a downward motion to take the majority off and then when he felt he did, he continued to use the spachelor in an upward motion to take off any remaining hair that he felt was still on his face.

Next step wash your face with luke warm water. Then finally add facial or body cream that you desire.

Be careful try not to add such harsh chemicals on your face after this process since your skin is pretty much freshly exposed.

That’s about it brothers, now we’ll see over the week the progress and I’ll update on this first little shaving tester.

My name is Khadija I am an actress and I work full time, I started my blog as a small hobby trying to get out my creative juices, writing about my hair and skin care, little commentary on social issues and hopefully start my little nail varnish business some time in the future. I want to be able to progress in the entertainment industry as a serious actress and hopefully be able to write my own scripts. I hope my blog gives you some form of entertainment, whether you’re just passing by or a regular reader, thank you for taking the time to read what’s on my mind in the moment.
